  • Is Orange Strides the same as Talent Search?
The answer is yes! We rebranded summer of 2022 and are now presenting as Orange Strides: A TRIO Talent Search Project. Everything is the same but the name.
  • Do I have to pay to join to join Orange Strides?

No, we are a federally funded program. Our services are completely free of charges for all participants! We also cover costs of any associated trips we take our participants to. Additionally, we provide ACT waivers to our students.

  • What if I identify as first-generation but not low income or vice versa?

Orange Strides is accepting of everyone who meet any one criteria. All applications will be thoroughly reviewed. Even if you meet only one of the requirements, we still highly encourage you to apply!

  • What are ACT waivers?
Each participating student receives up to 4 ACT waivers from our program. Each student can take the ACT up to 12 times. A higher ACT score generally means higher chances for scholarships. If you would like to know more, please contact us at triots@okstate.edu.
