Native American Heritage Month

Honoring and celebrating Indigenous peoples past and present
In 1990, President George H. W. Bush declared November as Native American Heritage Month. Each year during this time, Oklahoma State University pays tribute to and celebrates the ancestry and traditions of Native Americans. This month also helps educate the public about the tribes and the challenges Native people have faced over the years.
