Reymundo is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is the son of two immigrant parents from Mexico. He is a first-generation college graduate, received a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Oklahoma State University and two Associates Degrees from Oklahoma State University – Oklahoma City. As a student Reymundo was in the Retention Initiative for Student Excellence (RISE) program within the Division of Access and Community Impact. RISE is designed to assist a select group of talented first year students transition from high school to OSU. He was also highly involved and benefited from the programs and organizations within Office of Multicultural Affairs. As a student the Coordinator of Hispanic/Latinx Affairs was a key mentor for him and continues to be now as a professional. Reymundo wants to serve students to help achieve academic excellence, develop their personal and professional character, engage them on campus, and retain. Most importantly he wants to be someone students can trust and come to during a time of need for support, guidance, and be there for them just like those that were there for him.
