Mr. & Miss Hispanic/Latinx OSU Scholarship Pageant
The Mr. & Miss Hispanic/Latinx OSU Scholarship Pageant occurs each year during the spring semester. The scholarship pageant program is open to all OSU undergraduate students.
History
The first Miss Hispanic/Latina OSU was crowned spring 2001. In 2015, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) staff added a new category to the existing royal lineup: the Mr. scholarship pageant. The Miss Hispanic/Latina (now Hispanic/Latinx) OSU scholarship program was the first to introduce an OMA Mr. pageant, titled Mr. Hispanic/Latino (now Hispanic/Latinx) OSU. The addition provided more students opportunities to win scholarships and celebrate and honor their cultures and traditions.
Mission
The mission of the Mr. and Miss Hispanic/Latinx Oklahoma State University Scholarship Pageant is to further develop the leadership, confidence and creativity of students. The royals will positively advance the aims and objectives of the Hispanic Student Association, represent Oklahoma State University and serve as role models and spokespersons for their respective communities.
