Coordinator of Women's & LGBTQ Affairs awarded SAC Above & Beyond Award

The OMA Coordinator of Women's and LGBTQ Affairs, Irissa Baxter-Luper, awarded the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) Above and Beyond Award. Congratulations, Irissa! Her nomination letter read:

Irissa is an advocate for students. She constantly comes up with new ideas to make students feel included. She's been involved with initiatives regarding chosen names and pronouns. She's helped with great events such as Pride in the Park and Red Pantry. She serves as a Sexual Assault Victim's Advocates and is passionate about this area. Irissa has always encouraged me and inspired me to keep serving students. She's a strong and fierce advocate but at the same time she's one of the kindest and most compassionate people you will meet. She helps people feel seen for who they are.
