  • About Dr. Dew

    Dr. Dew received her B.S. degree (1989) in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University. After working as an Industrial Engineer for six years, she returned to OSU to become an academic advisor and Coordinator of the Multicultural Engineering Program in the College of Engineering Architecture and Technology. While in this position she advised over 11,000 students and completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Student Personnel in 2001. In December 2010, she completed a PhD. in Educational Psychology and began serving as the Assistant Vice President for the Division of Institutional Diversity and the Director of Diversity Academic Support and Office of Multicultural Affairs where her duties include recruitment and retention of faculty and staff in addition to leadership for the RISE and ILP retention programs for students and general oversight of OMA programs. After a restructuring of the Division, she assumed the position of Assistant Vice President for the Division of Institutional Diversity and the Director of Diversity Academic Support and Multicultural Affairs.

  • About Jeana Duncan

    Jeana Duncan received her B.S. degree in Political Science in 1988 from Oklahoma State University. She began working at OSU in August 1990 for the English Language Institute as a Unit Assistant. Over the years, Jeana was promoted to Administrative Assistant. She welcomed thousands of international students to Stillwater and the OSU campus over 28 years. As a result of being the first point of contact for the international students, Jeana has made numerous lasting friendships with people from around the world.

    In June 2018, Jeana transferred to the Diversity Academic Support/TRIO Programs department within the Division of Institutional Diversity. She is the Administrative Assistant for Dr. Jovette Dew, Assistant Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Director of Diversity Academic Support and Office of Multicultural Affairs.

     

    Jeana provides assistance with HR and financial-related matters for DAS (ILP and RISE), TRIO Programs (Student Support Services, Upward Bound, Talent Search, and McNair Scholars), and OK-LSAMP. She also provides administrative support to the Division of Institutional Diversity (VPID) and the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) staff as needed.

     

    One of Jeana’s goals is to represent the Division (VPID/DAS/TRIO/OK-LSAMP/OMA) with the utmost integrity. She strives to remain positive and supportive of her colleagues as well as the students in the various programs within the Division.

     

    Throughout the years, Jeana has attended a multitude of cultural and diversity events on the OSU campus and in the Stillwater community. She truly values the knowledge and experience gained from cultural enrichment opportunities and activities while at OSU. Her 30-year dedication to supporting diversity at OSU speaks for itself!

 

Chris Bingham

  • About Chris Bingham

    Chris Bingham was born and raised in Oklahoma. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Human Science from Oklahoma State University. He joined Diversity Academic Support after working as a Financial Planning Counselor in the Office of First Year Success. One of the things that Chris enjoys about his job is watching the students succeed and being there to help them navigate their OSU experience. He also enjoys working with high school students engaged in the Inclusion Leadership Program as they prepare for coming to college. When he is not at work he enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his dog Lucy, and attending musicals and concerts.

 

Maura Loyola

Retention Initiative for Student Excellence Program (RISE) Coordinator

  • About Maura Loyola

    Maura Loyola is the daughter of Mexican immigrants and has been with the Division since 2018. She was a RISE Scholar during her freshman year at OSU and credits the program and her coordinator for where she is today. She is a first-generation graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Out of the office, she enjoys baking, spending time with friends and family, and listening to true crime podcasts. 

     

    She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Family and Community Services at Oklahoma State University.
